user called and mentioned that he was prompted with error message when he use
his Microsoft office package
NM 11.183.250.95
- user was prompted with message when he use his outlook,
- error message was requesting user to do a detach and repair processm, user
did that but problem persist
- also error message appear when user use his power point
- user mentioned that he have uninstalled and reinstalled the office package
2 times already.
- first time when user install he was using AIM and then when he reinstall
he has to install from managesoft
- checked on managesoft and run verify/repair
this took sometime to run, request user to call back if problem persist.
kindly assit if user calls back

Please reconfirm on the status of this OVSD 8,887,596 /prompted with error
message when use Microsoft office package.
Is the problem still persisting, or the issue have been resolved, kindly
update the status.

Please inform on your availability so that we can place a call to you
to do further troubleshooting steps on your pc in regards to this issue.
Alternatively you can call GSD at your convenience to do a follow up by
providing the case number.

log case to t2.

~ Issue still persist.
~ Did NM : 141.183.250.95
~ Installed mitigation on his system.
~ User will wait until the installation process finish and call gsd back if
issue still persist.

-instalation using the mitigation stopped at 75%
- pls contact user around 3pm (16/11/2006) thursday

Did NM: 141.183.250.95
user got error ONLY when opening attachement excel file inside the powerpoint
EVERYTHING ELSE, working fine like edit slide, save file, launch application
REFER ATTACHMENT
Transfer the file to myself and i was able to open that excel file
i was also able to insert another file to that powerpoint while user cannot
try methods at microsoft:

remove fonts
reboot machine
retry
same issue
remove office registry
uninstall office via mgs
reboot
reinstall it again
Same problems......
investigate and get back to user tomorrow
