Powerpoint not working under Vista

I've just installed the windows Vista on my laptop, and want to make a
powerpoint presentation, but I get the message that my version will run with
lessened functionality (I have a Dutch version, so I'm not sure if I'm saying
it right in English). I have to put the Office XP cd back in the driver and
wizard should show me the rest. It's asking for Miscrosoft Office XP
Professional, and I only have the normal version! It won't recognise my
original version of Office... and does nothing.

I've been using Office XP for a year on this laptop and had no problems
before I installed Vista.... can anyone help me?

Run it in XP compatibility mode.
Office 2003 onwards seem to be the only microsoft office products that work
properly in Vista
