Each time I power of my computer, I get a message that says hpcmpmgr.exe is
not responding and do I want to end task now. I am not sure what the problem
is, It just started to happen. Could it be a VIRUS?

It's a HP file for your printer.
Go to http://www.hp.com and search for hpcmpmgr.exe
The have issued a fix.

Hi,

Hope this information is useful for you !

hpcmpmgr.exe --> Another HP required program, supplied by them in the
software provided with their printer: hp psc 2410. Its title is: HP Framework
Component Manager Service and is part of their: hp coretech(Component REuse
TECHnology) Failure to either load or use this program ensures that the
printer does not work properly.

Disable it.

hpcmpmgr.exe
Checks the internet for updated drivers/utilities for your HP product -
update manually. Disabling will remove the error "Windows can't shutdown the
computer because hpcmpmgr.exe can't be ended"

Hope this helps. Let us know.
