Power Up Problem

M

Matt

Now I've tugged and replugged all my power and IDE's, I/O shield and USB's
parallels and so on.

When I hit the power button, the power light comes on, followed by the
CD-drives, but the PC will not start up, and the monitor's light keeps
flashing on standby.

After an hour of leaving it on, with every 10 minute resets I got it powered
up.

Now is this a case of the chills or something far more sinister. The PC is
only 4 weeks old.

Specs:
AMD Athlon XP+ 2.02Ghz
512MB DDR SDRAM (Corsair)
Gigabyte 7VAXP MoBo
Win XP Pro
120 GB HDD

Thx in advance

Matt

Matt;
"only 4 weeks old." Any Warranty by chance? I would be on the horn pronto
demanding to get it fixed or replaced.

Warranty problem. Might be due to hardware witch would then be the
responsibility of the person that sold it to you.
