pc power up problems

hello..thanks for seeing this thread.. i not sure wheather i can post this
question in microsoft website, but i just try it..

ok, so, heres the problem.. bought a new DIY PC about 1 mnth ago. I just
cant power up. You see, i know the power is cycling through my computer since
my USB devices(NOT self powered) are lit up when i connect it to my usb
ports(even my PC is off,but my main outlet is on). My power outlet is totally
fine. My power cord is fine. Changed the psu for 2 time, and now i bought a
450W icute PSU. it was ok 2weeks ago, but then, now came again this problem.
What i need to do to make the computer "alive" again is, unplug the
atx(24pin) power supply plug & the 12volts(4pin) plug frm the
motherboard, wait about 5 sec, and replug it back. Unplug & replug the power
cord after about 5sec. And switch on the main outlet, and sometimes it will
on. if didnt on, i will do that again. Sometimes, if it on, after log in,
somehow, my processor will stop working while loading the log in items. See
the Task Manager and my process show 0% and sooner or later, it will hang.
Cant reboot. Press the restart button on my computer and it will hang and
cannot do anything. Then i will have to repeat the plug&replug the ATX from
the mobo and the power cord. But it occur rarely.
My computer is:
Intel Pentium Dual-core 3.0GHz
Gigabyte motherboard
1GB RAM
256MB Video Card MSI

thx..pls help ok? i really need help about this. thanks again.!

Too much information.

I recommend you take back the machine to the person who sold it to you. If
it was new, it must be under guarantee. What you are describing does not, in
my inexpert opinion, have anything to do with Windows XP, which is what this
newsgroup is all about.
