power saving mode or screen saver problem

So, sometimes when my screensaver or power saving mode kicks in, and I come
back to my computer, I can't get it to come back to life. I loose my input
control... mouse and keyboard are dead and do nothing.

If the screen saver is on... I wiggle the mouse and type on the keyboard and
nothing happens... the screensaver just keeps going. I have to reboot my
computer. This seems to happen half the time my screen saver kicks in.

Same thing with my power saving... I click my power button, and it comes to
my desktop right where I left it... but then the mouse and keyboard do
nothing and I have to reboot.

If there is a fix for this yet, I would love it. I'm having to reboot my
computer like 5-10 times a day and it is beyond ridiculous.

Any chance you are using wireless mouse/keyboard?

Or usb connections? If so check the hardware settings in control panel
system devices to see if the system is turning power off when it sleeps...
