Power Point starts the wrong helper program

I have two machines running identical builds of PowerPoint. I have a presentation with links to jpg images. On the first machine, clicking the link opens the picture in ACDSee (the proper action). On the other machine it opens the image in Internet Explorer (the wrong behavior). Both machines open images in ACDSee on double clicks in Windows Explorer and ACDSee is the default app for jpgs.

I am using PowerPoint 2002 and XP Professional. I can find nothing in PowerPoint to tell it to use the application I want. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Eric,

Check each machine to see what the file association is for JPG files
(although your comment about Windows Explorer makes this seem ok.) Also,
right click on the objects, select action settings and see if something is
different there. You could set it manually in the options proivided there.
Hint: if you insert your JPG files using the Insert, Object feature instead
of Insert, Picture you'll have more options under action settings.
