Power Point Print Options wont stay

R

I have a lot of students who use public computers in our library which are
connected to NON color laser jets. (We have no color printers available in
the library). As part of their class assignments they must sometimes print a
Power Point. To save paper and money, and to improve the printed out put,
students are charged 10 cents per page when printing, we tell them to set the
printing options to 6 six slides per page, and to use greyscale. I can find
the place for setting these options under "tools/options/print" but these
settings must be changed/adjusted for each project. Is there a way to make
these settings the default? Other options found in this area such as the
default save location when made are permanent, but not the print options. Am
I doing something wrong or is this another one of the many Microsoft goofs
and/or inconsistencies that are so common in their products.

Thanks for helping,

You're not doing anything wrong; neither is Microsoft. This particular feature
is designed to work on a per-presentation basis. That's why it mentions that
the settings are for "this document" in the dialog box. The feature works as
they intended it to, just not the way you and some other people would LIKE it
to.

But this might do the job the way you want it done:
