Can't print in Color

Al

Hey all,

This is driving me crazy. I have a PP 2003 presentation of 10
slides, all of which are in color. When I print a slide (or all
slides) they always print in greyscale. I have selected my printer's
properties and s set output to color, I have selected color in the
Powerpoint's Print dialog as well.

I can preview in color, print to a pdf in color, and if I copy the
slides into a new file, they print in color. As soon as I save, close,
and reopen the new file though, I can only print in Greyscale.

I can print any other PPT file in color without problems. Is there
some hidden setting in a PPT presentation that I'm missing?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the quick responses...

Lucy, I did check there. By default, "Use last print Settings" is
selected. This is the case for all my PPT files. Just to be thorough,
I selected Print Slides and Color. No effect.

John, unfortunately, it is a corporate presentation, so I cannot post
it. However, I should mention, that I created a copy, and removed all
confidential information in it. I tried printing a slide, expecting it
to come out greyscale like my previous attempts at creating a new
file. However, it came out in color, as it should.

I am making small changes to the problem file now, adding a period
here and there, and will see if changing the files fixes it. I'll let
you know.

Hi Al

Try creating a new presentation and inserting the slides - file -> insert
from file -> browse -> tick 'keep source formatting' -> insert all. If that
doesn't work round-tripping to html may:

You never know, might save you some work :)
