Power managing problem using just the battery of my laptop.

I have a problem when I use my laptop HP Omnibook 900 wid
Windows 2000 Profssional. If I start the pc, after it load
Win 2000 everything stack and I can just power off, while
if I use the power supply I don't have any problem. Before
I installed Win 2000, I was using WinNT 4.0, and I never
had this problem before. Moreover I don't have any error
code to provide you, everything just stack. Just I can do
some operation at the begin (open some folder, start some
aplycation) then also the mouse stop to work. Is there
some softwere upgrade tha can help me ?

I think you will need to verify the drivers that you installed are the
correct ones for that laptop. You should go to the HP site and get them
and install them.
