Power loss clears Temp internet files

On many occasions I was online and the electric power suddenly went off,
when I came back I had lost all of my temp internet files.
This happened for many instances.
This creates big problems for me cause I visit all my websites and read them
offline.
I also changed my temp internet files location but in vain.

Does anyone know the solution?

Get a UPS backup power supply.

I *strongly* second that recommendation. Losing temp internet files is
one of the milder things that can happen to you if there's a sudden
loss of power. A UPS is inexpensive and everyone should have one for
each computer they own.

You have probably lost other files as well since you apparently are not
using a battery back up Uninterrupted Power Supply.

Thanks for your suggestions but here in our country UPSs are very expensive
and I can't affored them.
My question is that why do only temp internet files get cleaned up why not
other files that are already stored, but why does this folder get completly
lost?

They are somewhat expensive but they do not cost more than a new hard drive.
You are really taking chances ranging from data loss to hardware failure by
not using an UPS. You don't know that those temp files are the only files
you have lost and I don't know why that folder seems to be targeted each
time.

I don't know what country he's in, or what prices are like there, but
the smaller ones (suitable for most home use, aren't very expensive at
all here in the US. I like those made by APC. Here's one for $40 US:

I agree completely.

Time to buy a UPS power supply backup unit. Get the best you can
afford...

I appreciate your suggestions, but what is the reason that the temp folder
gets erased, there is also some other data stored on the harddrive why don't
they get erased because of a power failure.

Perhaps thinking through this process will be beneficial. Since the
drive is being crashed, the power loss is not what is clearing the
files. That leaves one or two possibilities, the files weren't closed
and the resultant chkdsk when you started back up cleaned the mess up,
OR something is set to clear the area when you open the browser? Anyway
crashing all the time from power loss will eventually lead to a
non-functioning installation, it's only a matter of when.

The files get washed whenever I am accessing the files whether offline or
online, but while I am not accessing the files power interuption does not
delete them.

Becasue temp files are in ram, not on your hard drive.

That's totally false. TEMP files are stored in the appropriate TEMP
environment, which can be one or more folders on the hard drive.

Files get washed?!?!? Please reread your post. If you don't have the
files open at the time of power failure, they are not deleted? Then that
would indicate that the files/directory structure are requiring repair
DUE to the power loss, and chkdsk is restoring the file structure so you
may continue to use the drive. Perhaps if I capitalize the main sentence
you will consider the importance? CRASHING ALL THE TIME FROM POWER LOSS
WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO A NON-FUNCTIONING INSTALLATION, IT'S ONLY A
MATTER OF WHEN.

The items are stored as sub-keys of
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\P3P\History. Each sub-key is named for the site, and each has a
default DWORD value of either 5 (block) or 1 (allow). Look at those keys and
compare. Are all of them showing up in the Sites dialogue? My guess is that
they are all showing in the Registry but not in the dialogue. Don't know
what to do in that case. Maybe Kelly has a fix. I can't find anything in the
KB.

If the sites aren't showing in the Registry, then they're gone and you'll
again get the prompt to Allow/Block when you visit the sites.

Let me be more specific.
Suppose I am accessing some microsoft word or some html files on my pc and
suddenly the power supply goes off but when I come back nothing is erased
from the folders, but why does the temp internet files folder gets completely
washed why not the file which I am accessing get deleted, why the whole
folder?
