Hi
I have a user with A Dell GX240 who runs Adobe
Illustartor 10.1. After installing XP SP2 when she looks
at thumbnail images of her file, they are all corrupted.
The actual files open into Illustrator A OK. When I say
corrupted, they are very bitty, with random strips of
colour on some of them. It does not seem consistent. She
nees to view them before she opens the file, as she has
so many she cannot rely on name alone.
There is plenty of RAM in the machine - 1.28GB. Any ideas
from anyone pelase
Thanks

She might see if there are any driver updates for her video card. If the
video is integrated into the motherboard (not the best solution for
someone running graphically intense programs like Illustrator), then
she should check on Dell's support site for her particular machine. If
she has an AGP card, she should check on the card mftr.'s website for
drivers.

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its Explorer - Thumbnails page, adjust the slider to the left. Having
the 'quality' set too high can result in dreadful quality instead.
About 60 to 65% from the left should be OK
