Thumbnails not displaying in view

I have a user who has stored some of our company photos on his pc. He
wants to view them in thumbnails and all that can be seen is a small
icon, not the image. These files are jpg's.
There is nothing else wrong with the files, they are associated with
the correct application and they open correctly.

I have tried various command prompts such as REGSVR32 THUMBVW.DLL and
others but none have solved the problem.

thanks Ria Kerridge.

Hi Ria,

Try REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL

If that does not help, try one of these:

JPG/JPEG file association fix:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

Repair image file type associations in Windows XP:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/imgassofix.htm
