Possible Problem I have regarding DNS

Hi all

When i first loaded Windows 2000 Server, i installed DNS, DHCP and AD all with the domain name "domain.local"

Now our existing Exchange on a NT platform is running "domain.co.uk" as its webpage and e-mail address extension (@domain.co.uk)

Does this mean when i move over to the 2000 Server, Exchange wont work because i have (e-mail address removed) in their accounts instead of (e-mail address removed)

Just a bit worried i have wasted my time working with the domain name "domain.local" and feared that Exchange 2000 wont work properly

Any suggestions? Anyone know if a .local domain name can still operate with Exchange 2000 collecting mail in a @domain.co.uk environment

Use the Active Directory Domains and Trusts Console to add domain.co.uk as a
UPN logon value.
To do this open ADD&T at the top, right click on ADD&T and choose
properties, in the Alternate UPN Suffixes type in domain.co.uk.
This adds @domain.co.uk to the drop down list in the user properties on the
account tab.
For Exchange add @domain.co.uk to the Default Policy in Recipient Policies,
then make it the Primary email address. This will pass this email address
down to all users that have "Automatically update e-mail addresses based on
recipient policy" selected on the E-mail Addresses Tab.
