Possible down load problem

I would just like to know if anyone else is experiencing a problem with their
outgoing email service within the last 24 hours? I have been getting a
dialog box that says "Starting Microsoft Word as your E-mail editor" and then
the system hangs up. Until today, I had never seen this message before and
had never had a problem with forwarding or sending e-mail. I ran a McAfee
virus scan and got a zero hits message. I cured the problem by unchecking
the box that selects Word as the editor, but I should not have to do that.
The only other thing I can think of is that there might have been some
automatic downloads that caused it. I believe there were a couple of those
yesterday.

Does anyone know anything about this irritable nuisance?

Good point! Just shows how frustrated I am with this mess. Two weeks ago,
there was a download that cut me off from the news groups. I could see
them, but could not interact with them. That finally went away. Since I
don't know if it is a MS down load, a McAfee down load or a Java down load or
some other that I am registered with, I don't know who to report it to, or to
complain to.
