Ports (COM & LPT)

I'm using XP Pro SP2, help center says to open Device Manager and
double-click Ports (Com & LPT) in order to check modem ports. However I
cannot find Ports in the Device Manager. Where is it? I am logged on as an
administrator.

If there are no entries, then possibly they are disabled. Start from the
beginning and describe the problem you are having with the modem so we
can help you from that direction.
