Portable permissions?

I have a split database with user-level security. The security works as
intended. After completing a beta version of the db I had some users
participate in testing. The testing indicated that more development was
needed, so I made some changes. Finally everything seems to be working as
intended, so I imported into a new blank database (created after logging
into the secure workgroup). The trouble is that I need to re-create the
group permissions in the new database. Is there a way I can bring those
permissions from the old database?

Hi, Bruce.
The trouble is that I need to re-create the group permissions in the new
database. Is there a way I can bring those permissions from the old
database?

Yes. Use former Access MVP Jeff Conrad's DBUtilities 2000 Add-in on the
following Web page to copy the permissions:

What a great utility! Easy to use, clearly documented, and with some extra
reporting features too. Thanks for providing the link. I tested it on a
copy, and it performed exactly as I needed.
