Portable Hard Disk

Hi! I have bought a Hitachi portable hard disk for my
laptop. Every time I disconnect it from the USB port (with
the Unplug/Eject program) and reconect it, I get a blue
screen (I can't see what it says because it's too fast)
and the PC restarts.
Any ideas?
 
Turn off autoreboot so you can read and write down the error message.

Control Panel, System, Advanced, Startup and recovery, Uncheck
"Automatically Reboot" and apply.
