Port settings...

Hi there.
I have Avast! antivirus installed and it can't protect my outgoing mail because it says the port in question is already in use. What port setting should I change it to so that my outgoing mail is protected?

I am not familiar with the program but my educated guess is that it's
attempting to bind to port 25 (SMTP). It probably doesn't hook directly
into an email client, so it acts like a mail server and I assume you
tell your email client to use 127.0.0.1 (localhost) as your SMTP server.
