Look at your firewall/router configuration. Since you haven't told us

I have a similar query: Is it possible to specify which ports are enabled and
which are disabled for an Internet connection using the Windows firewall
settings? I am running XP with SP2 on a VAIO laptop and it seems some ports
have become inadvertently blocked, as I cannot access a few remote servers I
used to be able to access before installing the service pack. When I try to
determine what the firewall settings are on the LAN Internet connection I
have, I get the message "Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot
display Windows firewall settings." Your expertise help is appreciated.
