I have Windows XP Home Edition - Service Pack 2
Every day I get a fairly large rectangle on my screen that says "jusched.exe
has enountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience."
If you were in the middle . . ..
Please tell Microsoft about this problem. We have created an error report
that you can send to us. We will treat this report as confidential and
anonymous...
Two buttoms: send error report and Don't Sent

I don't know sent this message (there is a little amber-colored square logo]
came from and my hard drive crashed recently during an A2squared free virus
scan of my laptop so I am very sensitive. Since I don't know who wrote the
message, I don't click on anything. But, this annohying box keeps coming up
and won't go away. Any suggestions?

jusched.exe is the Java Update Scheduler. Java is from Sun. You might
consider downloading a newer version of Java and installing it, perhaps
removing the one presently installed first.

Thank you Patrick Keenan for your response -- it is helpful. But, is it
difficult to remove the version of Java I currently have and install an
updated version?

Not at all. In Control Panel, you will find two things - A Java icon that
will let you manually check for updates, and Add/Remove programs, where Java
Runtime Environment will be listed. You can remove it from there.

Then get Java again at:
http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

If you're able to save it locally and run it from there, that can be a more
reliable method of installing it - it isn't always small.
