Warning--
If you remove the tooltips your day/date (when you place
cursor over clock) might also disappear.
Try this:
-- Start button
-- Control Panel
-- Folder Options
-- View tab
Scroll to the bottom and UNcheck:
Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items
Apply
OK
