Hi,
Yesterday I installed two new programs on my machine.
Today any time I get near the All Programs button in the
Start section, I get a pop up that says "New programs
installed."

How in the heck do you stop it?

Thanks!

Gary

Right click on your taskbar and select properties. Goto the start menu tab,
customize, then advanced. Now uncheck "highlight newly installed programs"

Try this. Just follow the new program through your start
menu,to its link/shortcut and run it once from there.
should go away.

Hey that happens to me too, although I do not think there
is a way to permanetly stop it. But what you can do it go
to the start menu and start each program. I mean once you
go into the programs you installed from the startup menu,
that pop up will go away.

Right click on your taskbar and select properties. Goto the start menu tab,
customize, then advanced. Now uncheck "highlight newly installed programs"

Gary,

You might try this: Right click on the taskbar and select properties,
select the start menu tab and then select customize. Then click on
the advanced tab and deselect "Highlight newly installed programs.

If I'm wrong, I've only wasted about 30 seconds of your time.
