pop password will not save (already did the reg edit..)

i have a 98 machine running outlook XP, the email password will not
save no matter how many times you check the box...

i have researched this to some extent, and have dont the registry edit
that requires removal of the sub keys in the "protected system
storage" key. nothing seems to work.

please help....
 
Do you have the Microsoft Family or Microsoft Client installed in your
network properties?
 
client for MS networks, tcp/ip and file and printer sharing.... thats
all...
