Pointer and games

I installed XP Pro onto my new hard drive with application and driver
recovery. It did not load the pointers so I cannot enlarge my mouse pointer.
It also did not install the games. What can I do?

Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs> Add/Remove Windows Components

Games are a choice under Accessories. I think the extra mouse cursors are
there too. If not, check other categories by selecting one and then clicking
Details. Repeat until you find the mouse cursors. Place a check mark in the
box of the items you want to add and click OK

NOTE: With a retail copy of XP or a generic OEM CD, one would have the CD
handy and insert it if prompted.

You have an OEM version of XP and it sounds like it's one that has been
customized. It may have placed an i386 folder on the hard drive. If that is
the case, files from that folder are used to install extra components. The
installation may happen without requiring any extra steps from you or you may
have to find the i386 folder and, using the Browse button and dialog window
that appears, point XP to it.

Your OEM may have set things up a little differently. If they have, you'll
need to check your system manual (the one from the manufacturer) for more
exact directions regarding the installation of additional components.
