Plus! Alarm Clock doesnt awake pc from hibernation

Just purchased the DME pack for XP as I wanted an Alarm clock to wake me up
in the mornings.
At night, I close my laptop lid and it goes into stand-by. Trouble is,
Alarm Clock doesnt re-awaken the pc to life to sound the alarm!
My BIOS doesnt appear to have any kind of option to re-awake on Alarm etc.

Any ideas - apart from leaving the computer permanentlly turned on? Seems a
bit of an over sight if that's the only work around.

many thanks!

Did you read documentation which suggested Alarm Clock would bring your PC
out of hibernation or standby?

Hi Robear
No - this wasnt mentioned specifically. Phrases like 'hibernation' and '
stand by' didn't enter my mind. I suppose most people would think that an
"Alarm clock "could be used to wake them up in the mornings though! I'd
suggest this would be the most popular use rather than using it as a
scheduling alarm.
Even a Windows Pocket PC has an alarm clock feature. It seems a relatively
basic feature that should be included as standard in Windows. Will Windows
Vista have this feature?
