Plug in

I am using front page 2002 to create webpages. I have plugs in and I noticed
when the page loads suddenly all the plug ins start playing? Could you tell
me why and what I need to do so that only when some one hits play the playing
starts.

Thanks

This depends on the software that the browser chooses for playing the
specified file.

If you want to use a plug-in, you can't.

If you replace the plug-in with an ActiveX control, then you know what
player the Web page will use. However, then you exclude any visitors who use
a non-Windows operating system, or who don't have the plug-in installed.

This is why many sites you see on the Internet provides links to different
Web pages depending on the player the Web visitor wants to use.

What kind of file do you want to play?

Import the mp3 file into your current open FP web, and then create a hyperlink to it. Then when the
user clicks on it, it will download and play, as long as they have application associated with mp3
files.
