If I connect ANY USB Highspeed (USB2) device to ANY usb port, and even if it is the only USB device, I always get the
pop-up message... XP Pro SP2 is always giving me that same message "this device can perform faster if you connect it to
a high-speed usb 2.0 port".
The Bios shows USB Highspeed is enabled. The XP Device Manager shows "USB Enhanced" controller. MB is ASUS P4S8X-MX
which is USB2 and BIOS is properly configured for USB Highspeed.
I can't make any sense of this. Indeed I have verified that the data transfer speed is snail slow.
