do you mean plug and play service? If yes, check it under Control Panel -
Administrative Tools - Services if it is running and set to start
automatically.

Hi
Thanks for the info but it was set to automatic so im not sure what t
do next, it doesn't matter what i plug in, it won't accept it i
notices that i have plugged in a new device but will not let me instal
software etc. Any other assistance would be greatly appreciate

Have you tried installing the software and then plugging the device in ?
