Pls Help! Outlook won't stay open

Hello,

This morning when I went to open my Outlook 2003 to check my email, I was
greeted with an error that said Microsft Outlook has encountered a problem
and needs to close. It gave me a checkbox that said "restart outlook". I
left it checked and hit OK. It reopened (after running through the
"Microsoft Outlook was not closed properly - please wait while we check for
problems...") and about 5 seconds later, got the "Outlook has encountered a
problem and needs to close window again." I chose not to reboot that time.

Since then, I've rebooted, reinstalled Microsoft Office Professional 2003
and retried opening it several times and it keeps shutting down on me.

My virus scanner hasn't picked any viruses up - Anyone have ANY idea what is
causing this problem or how it can be fixed?

Thank you!!
Beverly

The file causing the problem, entapi.dll, is part of McAfee Virus Scan.
Depending on what version of Virus Scan you have, there may be an update at
McAfee that will fix the problem. I've read several posts that suggest
changing the name of this file will stop the error; it would also probably
disable Virus Scan, so it's probably better to check with McAfee for an
update.
