As recently, I have updated my XP Pro with SP-1a etc..then everytime I
bootup and there will be a need to select login UserID, then I obviously
choose mine, but there seem to be something extra telling me that there is 4
un-read emails which is puzzling me becos, I am sure that in my Outlook
Express 6 email client, there isn't any emails which I failed to read, thus
I really cannot understands where or why is there remaining 4 un-read mails
waiting for me??? Anyone, who has experience in resolving such mystery issue
with XP Pro during user login prompt, can assist me to removed that message
or "line" stating "4 un-read mails"

Also, I didn't use any other 3rd party email client such as Outlook, or MSN
messagner or Yahoo. Only recently did I noticed this mysterious emails that
tells me it is un-read, hopefully, I can seek answer to resolve this with
assistance from this newgroups ASAP.

Thank you very much.

Download and install tweakui for xp and use its repair mail count feature or
use it to turn the mail count off completely.

Or edit the registry and delete the mail accounts you don't want:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail

BTW - third party apps are one not created by Microsoft. Outlook and msn are
not third party.
