Please xp pro keeps trying to load software that is already loaded please read

I just purchased norton security and had a problem loading it.
went to their web site and ran (3) programs that was to completely remove
norton from the system and start clean.I did it and loaded every thing seems to
work but when I start the machine up when window loads and my desktop icons
are up a box comes up saying it is installing my printer (printer is working and installed)
after i cancel out and after a few times it goes away, it also does it with my scanner and ati catylist
program all the software is already loaded and working..is there somewhere I can go to stop
the installing

ps ..norton charges for any help by telephone so I'm hoping someone has had this problem
 
I was hoping for some other cure because it is just not my printer, it is scansoft, outlook,it will come up
when I start the program so I'm not sure what its gona do until i start the program ie..my printer loads
at startup, but yesterday I went to outlook for contacts and it started trying to install outlook i cancel
and it loads out look and seems normal but if I exit outlook and start it again the same install starts again..
