Please Help

IE browser suddenly opens and displays the following message, even when I
am browsing in Netscape.


"WARNING you may have a critical error on your PC.
The wizardwill help you improve your PC by running critical system errors
which may cause frequent crashes, instability or slower speeds.
To continue scanning click next."

I dont know what to do. Is this a wrom or virus ? I do not have any crashes
or instability in my system.
I am useing Windows XP Home with all critical updates and service packs
installed. My anti virus Norton is also always kept updated.
My P 4, 1.6 Ghz processor, 512 MB Rd Ram and Barracuda HD performs very
efficiently and fast.

Will some one be kind enough to help/advise what to do.
My windows fire wall was turned off when these messages started coming and I
was downloading a Windows Media file through Netscape 7.2.
