Over the last several months I have posted a request for
some help with this problem five times and have not
received one reply. I realize that no one is obligated to
reply and there is no guarntee of a reply. Since it is a
multimedia problem, therefore I have only posted it in the
multimedia group I am now going to post it to multiple
groups. Please accept my appology for posting to groups
not related to the problem. But, I need help with this
problem.

My problem is I lost my sound. When I go to Control
panel>Sounds And Multimedia>Audio I see that my Sound
Playback Preferred Device is Modem #1 Line Playback and
Sound Record Preferred Device is Modem #1 Line Record.
Yhere are no other devices under either one that I can
select. Since I am using DSL I have no other modem other
than a DSL modem. Could someone please tell me how to
correct this problem.
Thanks

If you want help you could provide some essential informations such as
what computer make/model,what cpu, what sound card is installed, etc,
