Please help, USB not reconizing my Sony Cybershot

Oh please help, This is my last hope!! My usb's are working fine (Computer about 4 years old), but for some reason, it does not see me Sony Cybershot 3.2pixels. On the screen of my camera it says normal, BUt the circles are white when they should be red to say that it is working!! FEEL FREE TO EMAIL. I await your assistance. Thanks.

I think it is the other way.
Connect your camera and power it on.
Red dots will appear. Wait and you should hear some beeping. Red dots will
change to white and more beeping. You are now connected.
Open My Computer. Look under Devices with Removable Storage. Your camera
should be listed there (Memory stick). Double click on it to open it. You
will see a folder icon. Double click on it to open it. You will see another
folder icon. Double click on it to open it. You photo files should be listed
there. Select all and copy to a folder on your hard drive.
