After reading many posts on camera and scanner wizard not working I thought I
could fix the problem. Not so. I do not have real player 10 installed (real
player 8) My Computer section is also very slow in loading now. I have SP 2.
USB's are working for other devices. The Camera is a Canon A95 and I went to
their website and tried their fix of a wia driver. no luck. Cant see the
camera on my computer either. Defraged hard drive just for giggles. Very new
computer. HP laptop 3.2ghz 1.5 mg ram 80 gb HD. I uninstalled the canon
software. I tried my other camcorder sony and it wasnt recognized either.
Seems to be something else than the normal issues.

I have no answers, just the same problems. I even point Windows to every
file and folder on my camera's installation disc, and Windows says it can't
find any information about my camera (Olympus C-4000) on the disc. Hmmmm.
It's like bringing a horse to water ... I performed MS's resolution of right
clicking on "Removeable Disk (G:)", "Properties", "AutoPlay" tab, "Pictures",
"Select and action to perform:", "Copy pictures to a folder on my computer
using Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard", "Apply", "OK", but Windows
doesn't save the directions. When I plug in my camera nothing happens.

If you haven't already done so, perhaps try the other suggestions in the
posting "Camera and Scanner Wizard not Automatically opening HEEEELP!!" of
1/27/2005.

I have a very similar sounding problem (refer my post 4/22/05 "Camera Wizard
/ Canon IXUS v3"). I can't find the post you are referring to, can you copy
from that post into another or can you direct me to it ?? Thanks

Please ignore my request, I have found the helpful email. Sounds like this
is a very common problem ...
