Sony USB Flash Drive Not Recognized

Hi:

I have a Sony USB Flash Drive Microvault 2GBJX that had been working fine.
I haven't used it in sometime, but now when I plug it into either my Sony
Desktop or Toshiba laptop USB Ports it says it's Not Recognized.

Any idea why and/or recommendations?

I just plugged a Kingston Flash Drive and it works fine automatically
picking up the next available drive letter.

The Sony flash drive had the power light on, but was not recognized I might
add.

I used it less than a dozen times...,but I think your right.
