Please Help - Urgent

I spilled coke on my Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop. It died. Will not turn on.
The hard drive is still good.
I removed the HD and plugged it in via USB to another computer and I can
access files.
However all the files under my "administrator" id is not visible. Windows
gives me "Access is Denied" message.

I desperately need to access some of those files. Any suggestions will help.

Thanks in advance

As long as encryption isn't involved as a local administrator you can take
ownership.

Explorer|"folder"|File|Properties|Security|Advanced|Owner and take
ownership.

After you've solved your urgent problem, you might think
about this iron rule of computing: All important files must
be stored in at least two independent places. A 2.5" disk
in an external USB case would make a low-cost but
highly effective backup medium. Next time something bad
happens you might lose the lot unless you start backing
up things regularly, e.g. once a week.
