Hi everybody!

Since a couple of days all explorer windows and the desktop
are being refreshed every 5 seconds under Windows XP
Professional. This is very frustrating. I can't work
anymore seriously. Does anybody know what the problem is?
Is there a solution in form of a patch or something?

Thanks, Michael

What changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't? If
nothing changed, try hooking up your computer to a different monitor.
If all is well, then your monitor is going. Another option if you
updated your video drivers, is to roll them back. Post back with the
answer to my question for more help.

Neither your monitor is dying nor there is probably any problem with your
video driver... this is a very common problem which I have for some time.
Tried everything. Some of my friends are complaining from the same symptom,
and I couldnt find any wise man with a solutuion yet. This is insane! I am
not able to work either. I've taken an image of my hard drive and done a
fresh install of XP and eveything was OK... so something is bugging this XP
of ours. We dont know each other, so we cant have the same configuration as
hardware or software... there is something fishy with the operating system
then. I doubt some of MS patches have done this.
