please help me - user account

i have just installed a new user account and gave it
admistrator permissions.

now my original administrator account has
disappeared!!! all my work was in it.

can anybody help?

To access the hidden admin account:
XP Home - boot to safe mode, log in as administrator
Xp Pro - ctrl-alt-del twice at the welcome screen, log in as administrator.

i tried the latter and it did bring up a different screen
but it hasnt brought back any data ...

Not sure what you mean by brought back any data. I assume at first you were
using the hidden admin account instead of a created user, then you did
create a user and now you want your stuff from the admin account. Just log
into the admin account when the log in box comes up(ctrl-alt-del twice).
User - administrator, password - blank by default or whatever you set it to.
Once in go into the my documents folder or whereever you stored yuor
personal files and copy them to the my documents folder of the new user.
