please help, load up problem!

i know this isnt to do with microsoft games but i couldnt find the windows
xp newsgroup

whenever i start up my computer it asks me with operating system i want to
use out of windows xp and (boot file)windows xp i can load up either and
they both come up the same, but my question is how i stop that screen coming
up when i turn on my computer?

i just want it go straight into windows xp without that dos screen

If you are running WinXP Pro go to:
Control Panel,
System,
Advanced,
Startup and Recovery > Settings,
select your OS that you want to load automatically in the 'Default operating
system',
remove the 1st check box: "Time to display list of operationg systems",
OK,
restart.

It is actually from XP's dual boot facility.

Go to Control Panel - System - Advanced, In Startup and Error recovery
click Settings, then click Edit which loads the boot.ini file into
Notepad. There will be two lines in the [Operating Systems] section;
delete the unwanted one, and File - Save.
