I have frontpage 2002 and have been racking my brains and my hosts
brains for 2 days with no solution.

Somehow I published with an ip address that pointed to a domain and it
did not work so we changed the domain to another domain and are using
the same ip. Everytime I hit publish the password box comes up with
the old domain name and I can't get past it. I think if I could
somehow clear the memory of frontpage so it would not associate the
wrong domain to the ip I would be ok but I can't figure out how to do
this. I even added the domains and ips in my local hosts file as the
host told me to do but that did not work either. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Craig

What happens when you use File | Publish and insert the proper domain?

Publish only remembers the last location you published to.

Close FrontPage.
Run regedit and go here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\FrontPage Explorer\Recent Publish List
Delete all of the values in the right hand pane *except* Default which must stay.

Close regedit.
Go to Network places and delete all references to your "published" web.
Close Network places
Open a command window ( assuming windows 2000 or XP ) and type: ipconfig /flushdns and press enter
When it's done close the command window and reopen FrontPage and try.
