FrontPage 2003 - Please help

I am totally new to FrontPage 2003 but wish to continue creating a site in
it. Can anyone advise on the following:
1. Whether I should buy a domain name and start hosting as soon as I start
or should I wait until I have completed the website on my local computer and
then publish the site

2. I have created a strip of moving (right to left) images in Flash5...each
one being a button and if clicked on should open up an individual web page
with a large version of that button image. This means having linked each
image to a unique URL taken from the preview. But will this link remain when
the site is published or are the links likely to be lost.....as the URL was
only a test and not really hosted?

3. Which is the best place to buy a domain name for life?

Your help is appreciated.

If you're using relative links, there will be no problem.

Everyone who uses a different registrar will think their's is the "best".

A relative link? I simply copied the URL from the address bar (when testing
the site in a browser) and pasted it where required.
Sorry not an ecxpert in this area...

Examples of relative links:

Hi Ishrat,

A relative link basically means that the link that is in the Flash Movie you
made goes to a page that is inside your web. If you wanted to link to a page
called flashlarger.htm for example..the link in the Flash Movie would say
exactly that. (flashlarger.htm) then when you publish the web to a
host..that link will still work.

An absolute link would be something like http://somesite.com/somepage.htm

Personally I use GoDaddy for all domains I register..and as Tom said get
your domain name as soon as possible.

Get your domain name from a different place than where you get your hosting.
Avoid anything with the word AOL in it. My favourite is Namecheap.com for
domains and I am using bluehost.com for some of my hosting ....

with frontpage avoid using

frames
shared borders
navigation bot
hit counter
themes
layers
hover buttons
fp forms

instead use

dwts
include pages for menus
css
your server stats for visit counts

work in split view and avoid turning on the common or formatting toolbar
then you won't be tempted to use them.. instead use the css editor.

.../mylink.htm is relative ..in the browser online it will resolve to
http://yoursite.com/mylink.htm

absolute would be http://yoursite.com/mylink.htm

as i said i recommend namecheap.com

I would also read and read .. about webdesign .. there is quite a lot to get
to grips with... its not just about creating a site its about how you do it.
