evrything except firefox and AV programs now take 1 min to open...

Its almost like windows preloads the whole harddrive befor it opens the folder i want but then i redoes that every time its not like a 1 min load then instant open 10 secs after if i close it

OK iv fixed the problem =)
It was fricken SpySweeper (Webroot) that frucked up my comp speed......

Thank god for that ... However, I'll defend SpySweeper for what it does as an excellent program, but I will admit to not having it running all the time ... Also, I have never seen it "slowdown" anything I have ever installed it on.

But then, that is computers for you.

I agree Mucks, I've got SpySweeper running permanently on my systems and, so far as I am aware, it has never caused my systems to "miss a beat".

A very good facility which hasn't let me down so far! I reckon there miust have been a faulty installation for it to have caused that sort of problem.
