Playing Hearts over local network

I upgraded from windows 98 to xp on our 2 home computers
that are networked together. I loved playing hearts with
my friend on the other computer. THe network works fine
but since upgrading to windows XP now I cant play hearts
with the other computer. It does not even come up and ask
if I want to be the dealer etc. The hearts program just
starts like there was no option to play with another
computer on the network. What can we do, to be able to
play together again.
Thanks
Kelly

Unfortunately, you can't, Kelly. Microsoft decided with XP that families
and friends would rather play against unknown strangers on the Internet
since everyone has DSL or better connections. Nope, they goofed, but
we don't get to play LAN Hearts any more.

would it be possible to copy the windows 98 hearts game to
windows xp, so that we could still have the lan hearts.
thanks
