I need to re-install Hearts in Windows XP. Is there a place on the Microsoft
website where I can download this? If not, where can I find it on the XP OS
disk?

Have you checked your %SystemRoot%\system32\ folder* for the
mshearts.exe file? You might need to set Windoew Explorer to show hidden
and system files/folders. You might even be able to use the OS's
Search/Find function to locate the executable file. If the executable is
present you should be able to create a new shortcut for your desktop.
"start" menu or Quicklaunch menu.

Have you tried reinstalling the game with the Control Panel's Add/Remove
Programs applet? The game should appear as a Windows Component under
"Accessories and Utilities" and then "Games". If your OS was installed
with an upgrade CD, full retail CD or slipstreamed CD you might need
that CD for that process. You might need to exit the Windoews component
installation wizard with Hearts unchecked then rerun the wizard from the
beginning to successfully reinstall the game and the associated shortcut.

PLEASE respond with a report about your progress or further difficulties.

* %SystemRoot% is an environmental variable that can be used as a folder
specification in a shortcut's "properties" or a command line window.
It's usually a substitute for "C:\Windows\" but MIGHT be something like
"E:\Windows\" if your OS is installed on another drive or "C:\Windows1\"
is an alternate folder name was used at Windows OS installation.
