XP hearts network

Is it possible to play XP hearts on a Local area network?

It used to be possible with the old 95 version. But, I thought since the
game is still called "The Microsoft Hearts Network," it could still be played
by several people on a LAN.

Microsoft in its wisdom decided people would rather play against strangers

How is it possible for the "OTHER" side to break hearts when they have
"OTHER" suits in their hand & yet I can!t break Hearts even when I am down to
the Queen of spades & only hearts in My hand

Has anyone been able to do this? I installed NETBEUI as well as the
needed mshearts files on my XP machine with no results.

Like most others it seems, I don't want to play against strangers, I
want to play on my own LAN with friends.
