Playing Games In Windowed Mode

Some games have an option for this. I'm talking about
when a game is in a window similar to one like internet
explorer or netscape or something would be in. Games
like Icewind Dale and such have an option, but I want to
be able to play some of my other games in a window, in
other words so I can use messanger while I play. I
really hope there is a way to do this, thank you all for
your help.

Some games support it and others do not, if the game does not have an
option, you can try using alt + enter keys and see if it goes into window
mode.
