windows XP, However the same CD will play in an older
computer running on Windows 98. Any suggestions ????

Have a look in the "Options" of the media player you are using. Somewhere
in there, it will let you select which file types (wav, mp3, etc) it will
play. Associate it with mp3 files. Alternatively, right-click on an mp3
file in Windows Explorer and select "open with," and select the media player
of your choice.

Ian.
