play movie DVD

I understand that I ask a question at a wrong place but I don't know where
else....

I have a DVD movie disk which can be watched on home DVD player....
But when I tried to play it on my computer DVD, it cannot....(others disks
is OK)...I think there may be a region code problem...

Windows Explorer also does not recognize the DVD when it is inserted....

The DVD disk may be region 1 code.....and I tryied to change my DVD drive
region code to 1...but the same problem...

I don't know what is the problem...could anyone help?

Chi,

You are correct. This is absolutely the wrong place for this type of
question. I might point you to the hardware newsgroup or to the general
newsgroup. If I were more up on DVDs and regions I would gladly offer
assistance but I am not. Sorry.
